ARQUITECTUM has the pleasure to announce the "Golf's Tower 2008" contest, sponsor by ESPARQ, from July 1st to August 31st, 2008. The aim is to provide a building that will add a significant new element to the local architecture, thereby creating a new generation of buildings that will become recognizable benchmarks of the quality available in the contemporary real state market.

ARQUITECTUM tiene el agrado de anunciar a todos los arquitectos su Concurso Académico "Torre del Golf 2008", patrocinado por ESPARQ, a llevarse a cabo del 1 de Julio al 31 de Agosto del 2008. El reto radica en la necesidad de crear una nueva imagen para los edificios de apartamentos en una de las zonas residenciales más hermosas de Lima. Este proyecto deberá aportar a la imagen urbana de San Isidro, al mismo tiempo que enfatizará en el carácter contemporáneo de un edificio del siglo XXI destinado no sólo para el distrito sino para la Aldea Global.

La ceremonia de premiación y la exhibición de los proyectos ganadores tendrá lugar en las instalaciones de la ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION en Inglaterra durante el mes de Setiembre.

ARQUITECTUM has the pleasure of presenting architects worldwide with its 8th Academic Contest "LONDON 2008", sponsored by the Architectural Association of London, to be held from March 11th to June 30th 2008. The challenge involves designing a movable architecture gallery, containing and distributing ideas to the city travelling across the River Thames. The awarding ceremony and exhibition of the winning projects will take place at the AA on September.

ARQUITECTUM tiene el agrado de anunciar a todos sus arquitectos asociados su 8vo Concurso Académico "LONDON 2008", patrocinado por la ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION de Londres, a llevarse a cabo del 11 de Marzo al 31 de Junio del 2008. El reto consiste en diseñar una galería móvil de arquitectura, que contenga y distribuya ideas a la ciudad viajando a lo largo del rio Támesis. La ceremonia de premiación y la exhibición de proyectos ganadores tendrá lugar en las instalaciones de la ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION en Inglaterra durante el mes de Setiembre.

La Exhibición Urbana CASAS DE PLAYA 2008 se inició el día Sábado 23 de Febrero. La Muestra, ubicada estratégicamente en el Balneario de Asia, el más importante de Lima y sede del mayor boom inmobiliario registrado en la Costa del Perú de los últimos años, permite a los visitantes conocer a los arquitectos autores de los más recientes proyectos residenciales para zonas de playa. Al cocktail de inauguración asistieron la gran mayoría de los arquitectos participantes asi como otros profesionales y personalidades asociadas al mundo de la arquitectura y el diseño. La Muestra puede ser visitada por el público en general hasta el día 3 de Marzo del 2008.

The results of the CHICHEN ITZA Landscape Competition were announced on February 7th. The First Prize went to Ming Tang and Dihua Yang from CHINA. ARQUITECTUM would like to thank the distinguish members of the jury, without whom it would have been impossible to carry out this project. Furthermore, we extend our congratulations to all the winners, as well as our gratefulness to all the participants worldwide.

Beach Houses 2008

The motivation behind this exhibit is the promotion of architectural design in the beaches South of Lima where remains the last market for real estate development. This year ARQUITECTUM for the third Outdoors Exhibition on the SUR PLAZA BOULEVARD (www.surplaza.net) has included foreign architects basically because: there is high demand in the market, clients are looking for fresh design ideas, but above all, because nowadays architects overseas (thanks to the internet, globalization and instant communications) can participate in new projects from any place on the planet.
